Pharmacy Equipment

At Gail’s Apothecary we use special pharmacy equipment designed to fulfil the needs of both, our regular clients and those who need compounding services. Medications, creams and compounds are created in a sterile environment with the ability to customize to a patients unique needs.Our goal is to provide you exactly what you need to make your medications the most effective they can be for you. Each person is different and has an individual response to certain medications. The purpose of our pharmacy equipment is to bring you a product that is specific to you; free from contaminants that could harm, at the potency you need and in the best form you are able to use.

Capsule Machine

The Capsule Machine is used to create unique compound medications that may not be commercially available in capsule form.

Individual compounds and powders can be made in a variety of strengths and dosages customized to a clients needs.

Ointment Mill

At Gail’s we use an ointment mill that mixes our creams so they don’t feel sandy or gritty. A uniform and smooth cream aids in the absorption of creams.

Suspensions

Specific ingredients of a medication can be adjusted into a suspension making them more effective and tolerable for the individual.

EMP Machine

EMP, or Electric Mortal and Pestle machine is used to mix both creams and suspensions.

Powder Containment Hood

A powder containment hood protects our staff and our clients from the different powders we use when compounding medications, creams and capsules.
